Bikes, clowns and asphalt

Yesterday was the Multnomah County Bike Fair which closed out the two week+ Pedalpalooza. Portland loves bikes. This is no REI/burly mountain bike/clip pedals/other tech bike variety event. It is better summed up as mutant bikes, pedal powered smoothies, dogs, rock n roll, jousting, coordinated dance, bicycle marriages, clowns, fire, mayhem, derbies, art and community.

Neat Flickr thing I didn’t know until thirty seconds ago: the homepage color palette changes with the featured photo. Maybe one of these days I will give in.

Portland seems weirder and weirder the more I hear/read about that place. seriously. I bet the next time I come out there it starts raining again and stops as soon as I leave. West coast hates me.
