Some rather crucial drivers on my laptop seem to have gotten themselves mixed up leaving it slightly crippled. It won’t install or uninstall applications. It fails several startup processes. And the best part – it only lets me browse the internerd for about eight minutes at a time before it quits receiving those golden packets of information. To the browser anyway. FTP, SMTP, telnet, IM, ping, Lynx and more will continue to work as always. Just no Firefox (or IE or Opera or Flock or Netscape…) until a reboot. Given it takes the beast about five minutes to start up, I’m currently spending as much time booting as using.

The fun thing is my laptop seems to be really good at gathering odd bugs for no apparent reason but not so good at getting rid of them.
